Broadfield Court is a unique venue nestled in a tranquil and scenic spot of North Herefordshire countryside in the west of England. Broadfield has fully integrated the hosting of corporate events with private and public social gatherings, wine production, outdoor activities and training, field sports and cultural entertainment.
The Estate is mentioned in the Domesday Book and is still a private farming estate of just over 1000 acres. This tranquil setting is ideal for conferences and meetings as well as wedding receptions and private functions. Broadfield Court is also the home of Bodenham English Wines which are available for tasting and sale in our shop or by mail order.
Broadfield has been critically acclaimed as a producer of fine English wine and has an enviable reputation for excellent, freshly prepared, home-cooked meals in our award winning Café , using only local products from local producers. The 16th Century Winery welcomes all visitors to browse at leisure and try the tasty foods and taste the delicious wines from Broadfield’s vineyards.
Our Gift shop and Court Café is open from 10:30am until 4pm-ish in the Winter and 10am until 4:30pm-ish from Easter through the Summer.
Broadfield Court is one of England's most romantic, secluded and exclusive settings for a wedding reception. Broadfield's medieval manor house, 16th century winery, sweeping lawn, 5 acres of Old English gardens and vineyard offer you, and your guests, an idyllic setting for your wedding reception and accompanying festivities. It has the perfect back-drop for your wedding photographs (the vineyard and gardens will be closed to the public on your special day). We have four acres of old English Gardens with a fabulous David Austin rose garden incorporating 37 varieties, a working walled kitchen garden plus a variety of fruit trees and herbaceous borders.
Broadfield offers a unique ambiance for all styles of wedding, or any special occasion and can cater for up to 300 guests with ample parking in the grounds for everyone.
We can also accommodate small wedding parties of up to 50 in our upstairs Winery dining room - please ask us for details and availability. We treat every wedding as an individual occasion and are happy to work with you and your family, to ensure that the details of the wedding festivities are meticulously planned and executed in accordance with your wishes.We are now pleased to be registered as hosts for civil ceremonies.
The range of events we host for corporate and private clients are conferences and business meetings, seminars and symposia, business training and outdoor personal development and leadership courses, celebratory occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, family and friends reunions, dinner parties and wine-tasting tours. We also welcome coach tours and other group holiday specialists for wine-tasting tours without meals – please contact our office for details.
Other facilities include our purpose-built high and low ropes courses and a 7 feature assault course where you can express your adventurous side. Field sports including pheasant or clay pigeon shoots can be arranged to suit individual requirements. We also host cultural events such as music, craft and garden festivals.
